It is NOT Fun!

To everyone that feels that a revolution or civil war may happen because of the way things are:

I want you all to think about a few things. Hopefully by the time you are all done thinking about these things, everyone's efforts at letter writing, the Petition for Redress of Grievances, protests and other actions will be redoubled.

Wars are not, repeat NOT fun. The romantic Hollywood notion of glorious combat is entertainment not reality.

Anyone with combat experience (and I am sure there are some others out here that have it) will tell you the following:

  • Seeing friends die is not fun.
  • Being shot or stabbed is not fun.
  • Being blown up by any sort of explosive device (or in the general area of one that goes off) is not fun.
  • Being gassed is not fun.
  • Being shot at is not fun.
  • Having to tell others to go get shot or stabbed is not fun.
  • Listening to friends screaming in pain is not fun.

There are thousands of ways to be killed in war. None of them are fun.  War is hell not glory.

However,

  • Seeing friends and family starving is not fun either.
  • Seeing your own rights and those of everyone being stripped from you is not fun either.
  • Seeing friends and family living homeless and on the streets is not fun either.
  • Seeing the government taking ownership of privite business's and ruining our economy is not fun either.
  • Seeing the current crop of despotic politicians changing the way our nation is governed and turning our country into a socialist nation is not fun either.
  • Waking up one morning to suddenly find out you are now considered a criminal and potential terrorest is not fun either.

Now that you read about what is NOT fun: Have you changed your mind about what needs to be done to secure liberty?

It is MUCH easier to take peaceful action NOW before things get beyond our ability to mend peacefully.

Heed these words! If or when the day comes that you are in a situation confronting the tyrants, the traitors to our national liberty, it is not going to be something you enjoy.

There will be much heartache and pain, screaming, and personal terror on a scale unknown to most, survived by some.  You must remember that in the end everyone involved must hold to their convictions to ensure that our government is returned to a governement of the people, by the people and for the people and not transformed into something completely alien and counter to freedom.

We are not simply fighting peacefully against tyrants - we are fighting peacefully against the principles of tyranny and for the principles of liberty - just like our (founding) fathers before us.

If we lose sight of this, all that transpires will have been for naught.
